So I've been hearing lately that sample models of bindings particularly are less strong and well made because they are just meant for samples, especially for Union. This seems like it would make sense but does anybody here know for sure? Two of my sisters have samples from c3 and the ride them pretty hard for girls, but they seem to have held up perfectly.
Are sample bindings of a lesser quality?

I have a pair of sample unions on my "main" board and there's been nothing wrong with them after about 15 days.

Samples can vary widely. Sometimes components can be the first relatively untested runs or differ slightly from production. Sometimes parts are made slightly differently to get them into reps hands quicker. It doesn't mean they are less quality like they leave out 10% of the pixie dust so he bindings overall are 10% shittier. Sometimes that impossible because it's not like they use radically different plastics and parts but they may lack the refinement of the final product. Not specifically talking about union or any other company just generalizing.

I remember johan mentioning the difference between the demo bindings and sample bindings awhile back.
Recently, I think the only thing that was different from the union sample bindings were some toe straps from last year. Or least that's all that was mentioned or was noticed.

I bought a pair of sample Forces just before this season. They made some widely publicized changes to the toe strap, and to a lesser extent the baseplate where the heel strap mounts by the time the production versions came out. Aside from that, I couldn't see or feel anything that I perceived as a difference in quality between them and other Forces I'd owned. Conversely, I had a pair of flux samples a couple years ago that had a completely different material covering the straps. It was sort of a patent leather material that looked nice and shiny, but started to crack immediately. Material was laid up sort of cockeyed on the strap frame as well.

I know for a fact that sample bindings...I like the eggs on my breakfast sandwich to have runny yolks.
Birds scare me. Especially smaller birds like robins and sparrows and shit. They're gross. -

Whoops forgot I left this here. What i've heard about Union specifically is that some fiberglass is left out of samples. Not really a problem unless you tend to snap bindings I suppose
