@Nose: Any chance we will see blunted tips on the Horror at any point in time? ...or do you not want to eff with the best selling board in the line (is it still the best selling board in the line)?

Wouldn't say we have prejudice about pow but that happens. For me the best day involves pow until noon(tracked out) follwoed by park riding and then rails after that. Having one board that can slay it all is sofa kind awesome. My midlife handles everyting incredibly except deep, +8, of pow and that is why I'm now looking at a Ultrafear or other rocker board to be my one board I ride.
As to graphics I really like the actual graphic but there is too much black in the background and rest of the board. Reminds me of NS or burton where you just make a graphic and slap it on to a black background and call it good/trendy/hardcore/amazing

Need some insider information/opinion. I have been riding the Horrorscope for the last couple of seasons- and I love it. I am not exactly sure why (probably Johan's/C3 effective marketing propaganda), but the Ultrafear keeps calling my name. I rode a friend's Ultra a couple of years ago, and I remember thinking that I was really stiff and that it turned like a plank (although I don't know the Horror sidecut vs. the Ultra sidecut off the top of my head).
So, for those of you who ride the Ultra and like it- what is it about the board that you dig?

If you're comparing the same size Ultra vs Horror, the specs are exactly the same (ww, nw, tw, ee, radius).
I personally think they turn exactly the same. The Horror does have Urban FK vs Freestyle FK of the Ultra but since you're a human and not a machine, its nothing you'd notice in turning.
The Horror is slightly mushier and easier to press but the Ultra is very easy to press as well. Not sure why you felt it was really stiff unless you were riding one that was too big for you.
The Horror is also a bit heavier. The Ultra has lighter core and the Horror has extra thick edges. Ultra also has a sintered base vs extruded.
Personally, I like them both and I think they ride exactly the same with the only difference being that the Horror is a hair flexier. If you trash your boards just get the Horror. (cheaper, beefier edges)
