not asking about the ride or whatever, just trying to compile a list. i have been interested in a flat board since riding my charlie the last 2 years, as i love the feel through the mid section and tail on groomers and all over. i do like hybrids like c2 and what not but i would like to try something flat.

i'll be adding to this as we go on.

Burton dominant, hate, condom. Palmer has some I think as well as Ride.

The ride lowrise on the machete and such is pretty much zero camber.

Zero camber seems to be featured on much of the line for nitro, k2 and ride. But anyhow, you know you're going to try the midlife lol

yeah maybe, i dunno though. it's not super wide on the 155 so that's no biggie, but i don't want a deep sidecut these days.. changed my mind about that after having the phoenix and falling in love with charlie.

dirt rocker is like FK, rocker outside the bindings. ATX (antirocker) is their flat board. just read up on it and it's actually super super mellow camber out of the bag but turns totally flat after a few days riding or whatever as the core gets flexed out. superoffender has it and sounds like a rad board, i think our friend's shop had/has one. not a board shop but the did their own branded boards this year and picked up 4-5 smokins cause they're friends with jay or something. maybe they still have it.

it was the 159... not sure what year it started(I think it was 2010) or ended.

not camber, not rocker, just flat. it's normal, no curvy hybrid stuff going on. relieves some edge pressure from camber, adds a little natural float, and basically i just like the feel of my charlie which is flat from the front binding all the way through the back and i thin i would like a flat snowboard. if not flat then i go hybrid. i also loved all my FK boards but i think if the whole board were touching rather than having raised tips it would give me the little extra power that i've been looking for.

Personally, I've ridden a slayblade and swindle. Didnt like them at all. I do have a Charlie (Shark) and it doesnt ride the same as a fully flat twin.

Maybe its the raised nose or tapered shape of the Charlie that makes it different.

I've said it here before but my personal opinion of a fully flat board is that it combines the negatives of a camber board with the negatives of a reverse camber board. It lacks the benefits of camber and lacks the benefits of reverse camber. I'd rather pick one or the other or a hybrid if I had to.

It's OK if you're a dedicated park rat, side-slipping from box to box but otherwise, "meh".

Me either. How does it ride?

I thought the charlie had nose kick, so how is a truly flat board different?

The Jones Flagship seemed almost flat, maybe 1mm of camber/rocker hybrid.

people say the same things about hybrids in that it combines both negatives. and i have ridden lots of various boards from a hero 58 to phoenix 160, totally different, things in between, etc, and get used to them all and like them all. people would claim the same "side slippy park" thing about the hero but i rode it all over. it was softer that i prefer, yeah, but it worked fine and was real fun. something like the genovese and a lot of these are not only stiffer but flat = less loose.

either way i would like to try it. some people don't like it, some people love it. some people swear by v rocker but it's my least favorite for sure. and some people don't like FK or c2 but they're my favorite so far. and in the end, it all works.

IMO, rocker has its pluses, camber has its pluses. Each have minor drawbacks. A hybrid camber tries to incorporate the good from rocker and the good from camber.

A flat board leaves you with all the drawbacks of camber and drawbacks of rocker. Not as much pop as camber, very grabby contact points like camber, not as fun as rocker, super choppy on bumpy stuff.

(Not convincing you not to try it but the Charlie rides different and also some people were asking what a fully flat board is/rides like)

I know the joystick is a rockered board but it seems really mellow, almost flat, at least to me and compared to other rockered board I've tried. I could be totally wrong though.

more (flat) EE at all times should be more stable, but don't zero camber boards ride very loose?
