looks like the record snowpack volumes this year, and rad seasons for many... will result in massive flooding for a lot of people in the coming days.

was watching CNN earlier and they said louisiana has no choice but to open the flood gates in some areas.... entire towns will be lost (on purpose). that state has no luck.

No doubt, it's shocking to me that a coastal city below sea level would be so prone to flooding.

    this

Record snow pack in these rockies but we don't see much of the flooding, it will be Saskachewan, and Manitoba that get it the worst. Southern Alberta has had bad flooding all spring.

The thing 'bout the Louisiana case that was interesting was that opening the floodgates was a voluntary action (if u can call it that) which they knew would result in many towns disappearing..

yeah they've been flooding a shit ton of farmland too in an effort to save bigger priorities

should've had some corn planted, as this will guarantee that the already high price of corn at least stays there.

30% of corn production in the United States, is being diverted to biofuel (biofool), the extent of displacement of land and farm capacity from food into non-food production

The UK has had a stupidly dry spring. If the rest of Europe is anything like this, then I think grain prices will end up stupidly high.
