   demonstration lesson on "regions of the usa"   

   hey, i am a teacher and gotta give a demonstration lesson next week on "regions on the usa". the stuff in our school book is crap pretty much, and besides "this land is your land" i didnt find any other song going in that direction. so i thought i might ask here...

   oh, they're ~14 and it's their 3rd year of learning english.

   any ideas appreciated...

   Is this what you mean?

   

   If you want to keep it simple, just tell them West = Cool, All else = flyover states.

   yeah, thats kinda what i was thinking of, thanks so far. at least how to divide the us, i.e northeast, south, midwest and west.

    haha, thats quite interesting, who makes a survey about what people call their soft drinks? but i guess that would rather be something to give to pupils just for fun, nothing to fill a demo lesson. thanks tho.

    This map is pretty good but I would further divide the Northeast by adding the rust belt/great lakes region. I'd just follow the KISS theory and hit on industries, climate, history of the region, and any tie ins of major towns and industries to your own area. I'd finish the demo with America, Fuck Yeah! playing softly in the background.

    I meant more of Germany or Europe as a whole instead of just your town.

    That map above is geographically incorrect. That's not Milwaukee, that's Detroit.
