Looks like fun Spenser! I decided not to skate yesterday because I had two games on the softball diamond tonight, and I've been leaving the skate park lately with bruised hips and elbows, so I didn't want to be banged up for the double header (still hurting from a brutal mini pipe bail last time). It paid off; 5 for 8 on the night with my first dinger of the season. can't wait to skate tomorrow.

Yeah, but you are doing it bro. I still suck too - surely worse than you, but I enjoy it. When I used to ride with people who are way better than I will ever be it used to humble me a lot, until I would go ride by myself and I didnt feel like I had to live up to anybody else's standard...and then occasionally when I would ride with people who are worse than me I realized just how far I had come from where I was last year. Still, there is not a better feeling than stepping into a park and slaying a line like you are walking down the street.
I'm stoked to see that more of us riding around here. -

i hate...HATE rollerbladers. go wax your boyfriends butt, not the miniramp and not every piece of coping i want to play on..it grinds fine as is.

my personal gripe in the skatepark are kids on scooters. They are everywhere, and they have ZERO park etiquette, and since their parents are not skaters or have never been a part of "the scene", they don't even know to teach their kids this important facet of riding a skate park. They see skateparks as a place to drop their kids while they chat under the pavilion, letting their kids run amok, snaking lines, and sometimes getting rocked/causing people to bail to avoid sending said kids to the hospital.

Around here the scooter kids are in full force but they know the hierarchy. Usually if you're ripping lines they wont drop in anywhere near you. I like the mellow atmosphere where people pick up each others boards and ask if they're alright after a fall so i try not to drum up drama by yelling at kids. I even fixed a kids scooter who had a loose back wheel yesterday.
the kids doing tic-tacs in the bottom of pools gets me going though
