Ok I will see once I get the money. I really wish my LBS carried giant, defy comp with mix of ultregra/105 is well within my price range.

Short MTB ride this morning along the Milwaukee river. Great weather for physical activity, nice and cool without being chilly. Unfortunately the "restoration" of these trails is making them much less mountain bike friendly. A large dirt halfpipe-like area has been blocked off and a lot of the trail has been "paved" in gravel. Seems like most of this has been done without public opinion.

I got home 15 minutes ago from my first decent ride fixed. My legs feel like they are still pedalling. Weird!

Biking in a dress with a v cut and high heeled wedges, plus having a bag with champagne and orange juice and another bag with 15 crossaints... Not the best idea I had this morning!

I disagree. Girls on bikes wearing skirts/dresses make the world a better place.

Haha I probably looked retarded. All nice and then all the bags. Oh well.
I looked nice and had a good goodbye breakfast at work!

Haha epic fail.If I wear a short dress/skirt, I wear my short lululemon shorts underneath. Makes a nice butt plus no rubbing on skin. FTW

Riding bikes is so fucking awesome. Shuttled a gnar-ballz DH trail today. 2000 feet of steepness with drops, jumps & tight turns. I rode like crap, but am okay with that. Lots of room for improvement over the summer.

I love this quote. Pic from the 'Strength In Numbers' bike movie:

Just received response from them. Yeah. They don't import them.
I think pinarello just copied their dealer list to the opera site.
Sucks. Think I'm gonna have to look to europe or oceania.
Thx again.

Anyone heard anything about the Specialized Camber? Its about 1k cheaper than a Stumpjumper, which is the other option, but it's a more entry level FSR bike. What would be better to go with?
-
Posted 1 year ago #Official Bicycle Thread
I don't think it's considered entry level at all....but in any case. I've heard nothing but praise for them.

I have two friend's who ride Cambers. One rides a 29er and the other rides a 26er. They both love their bikes. The Camber is a little more XC then the SJ 110 vs 130 of travel 70 degree vs 69 degree head tube angle. Going by the Comp 29er for both bikes. The SJ is only 250$ more then the Camber. If you are going to be anywhere in NW Jersey on Sat the Spec demo truck is coming to town 9-4 and will have all the top of the line Spec bikes...I plan on riding the Camber Pro 29er. I will give you my feedback. Right now I ride a Trance X with a 140mm fork. The marked loop is a good combo fireroad/tech single track up and tech and flowy single track down about a 5 mile loop. Plus there will be a lead advance ride. I also plan on riding a s-works SJ FSR and HT and an s-works epic as well.

Thx again. The Super is nice. If you can't find it, what about an Ibis Silk? There is a dealer in your neck of the woods.

Also, vibes for another favorite of mine, Cedric Gracia

Word is, while practicing for the WC in Val Di Sole this weekend, he clipped a rock with his rear brake line as he entered a new, super steep section of the course and suffered what sounds like a horrific crash. Busted his femur and shattered his pelvis. He's already had numerous surgeries (this only happened this past saturday) and still can't be moved to a hospital closer to home.
Super bummed, another "older" guy that I've really looked up to. I hope this isn't a career ending injury.

Heard about CG, hope he heals up quick
Amazing ride last night - started at the top of the pass between Brighton & Park City. Rode the ridgeline for about 5.5 miles alternating between awesome flowy singletrack and lung-collapsing climbs. Not big/steep by any means, but there isn't much air up there. The final 5 miles is pretty much all downhill, from 9900 feet to 7200. Flowy stuff, berms, sharp rocky DH sections, mini rock gardens. Hopefully I can ride it once a week. If I do, my lungs will be oversized :)

I do a little biking, I ride a Transition Vagrant, a Motobecane Track, and a crappy ridged that I use in town since nones going to steal it. But I have a Specialized P.2 frame and other parts that I was planning on building, but I'm broke and need to sell it, it was a fun project. PM me if your interested in any of the parts or want more pictures, heres a link to it on PinkBikehttp://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1104572/
Selling everything cheap! ;D -

I just got back from the Maah Daah Hey Trail in North Dakota (my home state). So fun and challenging. I had a couple mental breakdowns, but just kept on riding. The mud on the first day was insane, full of clay and so very sticky, we had stop and de-mud every five minutes. I didn't think we would make it to camp that day. We skipped the first 20 miles because the trail was in bad condition up there and we would have had to walk almost all of it. We did 38 miles the first day, and 42 the second day. Other highlights and or low lights: tons of cowshit, swamp feet, getting lost, epic crashes, trail slumped away, not seeing another soul on the trail. adventure!
