What made me think of this was putting some fixed gear wheels on Craigslist last night. Hundred of emails, ridiculous. I could make a living selling fixed gear parts down here.
i am going to have to say that i am still upset over the theft of my bike, and still embroiled with my renter's insurance to get paid out to get a new one.

My 2008 Schwinn Madison fixed gear and a Hoffman BMX bike that I got off of Craigslist last week.
Velocity B43. I got a wheelset on Ebay for about $100 less than a H+Son wheelset.

Thanks. I've been cruising around the neighborhood on it. I haven't ridden a BMX bike since I was in the 5th grade. It's a blast to just goof off on it after work.
Those H+Son wheels will look nice on your Giant. What color are they?

Easy to maintain and fix, inexpensive compared to roadbikes, perfect for city riding....
I also have a full carbon road bike for distances and a 6 inch travel mt bike for well mt biking

They're cheaper and easier to maintain. My city is pretty flat, so granny gears aren't really necessary. Riding fixed also helps you develop a smooth, efficient pedal stroke. I'd like to get a super high tech light weight road bike someday, but I'll probably hold off until I blow out my knees on my fixed gear.

Hmm, I can see that. This is my current ride:

$78 gets me a full year membership, whereby I can use the bike any time of the day for 30 mins, as often as I like. If I use it for an hour, it costs me $1.50. No storage issues in my apartment, and no worries about security in a city second only to NYC in terms of bike theft.
Plus it leaves me more money to look at DH bikes.

I'm 6'3'' or 6'4'' and I have a Large. I think the Large is 58cm.
