I played 9 holes today...Hit it into the trees a few time...Unforgiving narrow well treed course..Shot a 44...Not bad considering..
My new this year Taylormade burner 3 hybrid just smokes the ball..

I think I've found the source of my Slice... I just keep looking down a bit longer after the impact, it helps to keep my hips & shoulders steady. It worked well at he range, straight hits, even sometimes a good, solid draw.
can't wait to play.

par 3...135 yards..over a scenic gorge...green heavily sloped towards the gorge at front...Flag at front
I hit my pitching wedge 10 feet past the flag and walked away happy....
The boys started yelling ..It's rolling..it's rolling...and I missed it by that much...The ball stopped right beside the hole...It was the distance of the tee that was in my pocket....Arggggggg...2 1/2 inch tap in birdie

Play today @ a par three course in NY state. Three pars and one birdie. But was still 25 over anyways but I am so happy. I figure out my grip and most of my back swing ( at least the takeaway). The birdie was on a 133 yard hole..7 iron knock it about 6 feet from the pin and made the putt...hit the greens on a 108, 125, 133, and a 160 yard holes....cant wait to get my fairway woods and hybrids/low irons better....

dude, i know the feeling. me and a few friends hike up near a resevoir by our town, and we drive balls off of a cliff that must be 200-250 feet up, and they just sail out into the distance, often time disapearing into the tree tops. so rad.

What hill?
I just played today at a regulation course. First time on this particular course and first time out with my new set of Dunlop Centrus irons. Could have gone better, but I did hit a gem on a 300-something yard par 4. Landed my drive about 20 yrds from the front of the green then put up a chip and a put for birdie. Golf is fun when the ball goes where you want it to!

Anytime there aren't people playing behind me I scrounge for balls... totally worth it. I don't know how many I've found so far, but I know not a round goes by that I don't lose at LEAST one ball. I think I lost 3 today; and golf balls are expensive! I'd also suggest carrying one of those ball scoopers so you can fish em out of water hazards too... now if only my chipping would improve as fast as my stray ball spotting ability

we played a round a few weeks back..My bro kept asking if the ball he found was mine...Titleist4...I said no, keep it..He found 8 of them...all lying beside the cart path on various holes...We figure the drunks in the cart in front of us were driving along with the pocket of their golf bag open

played the Champions course for the back nine today after a 48 on the easier front nine
I was bogie,then 5 pars....looking good...Just as I was teeing off on 7 a hornet stung me on the knee...I swatted him and he flew up my pants and stung me twice more....Thank Jeebus he didn't fly any higher up...
I then proceeded to shoot a triple bogie,bogie,double bogie for a 43..

ya..Shorts to my knees...Kneeshorts...It was 29C yesterday...Not great weather for long pants.....I don't mind golfing in either length....
and I only wear my golf shoes if it's an "important" game....Important games are few and far between....My buddy and his wife mainly try to shoot better than 60 for nine holes so it's never a competitive spirit...Golf is for fun

first and only time i golfed (is that a word?) was on my road trip, after we crossed back into the US and were camping at flathead lake in montana for a couple days... played a.. 9 hole? i dont know what the proper terms are.
i think i did pretty well for a first timer.. on one of the par 4s i got it within 15 feet of the hole on the first swing.. id call that 50% luck, but i was getting the swinging thing figured out.. sort of.
i dont remember what my total score was but im guess it was something like 20-30.
to be fair, it was 96 degrees and sunny, so i was very impaired. otherwise i would have had at least a -400
