his use of the C word is what i remember most about him. meh... I still like EL better. I just saw that there's a BMB on burtons site. I'll assume they brought it back after the matter.ripitup said:

Yep. After they took it away, gave it back and gave us a time frame for when it would be taken away again. -

Oh that reminded me of that part. TJ said that James at Dogfunk, allgedly, was going to give him 38% off so he said he would buy from chappy if he matched it. -

I found the BMB's when i was looking up products on the site a few years back. I think it was 07 maybe. It was a few months before they changed to the new format and everyone lost they're ID's. I started posting immediately on the site and it was fun as hell. The BMB's were the forums that really got me into online communities. I was really sad when they went to the twitter style and for months I didn't use any snowboarding forums until i stumbled across easy loungin when someone from the BMB told me a lot of people transferred over here. I've been here on EL for over a year and it's been pretty great. It won't ever be the same as the BMB's though.

I've been on forums since 2000/2001 but they have all been car forums. I was a snowboarding FREAK and lived in a chalet on a ski hill two separate times from age 9-16 (89-96) and snowboarded/competed whenever I could. But when I got bit by the car bug at age 16 after moving away from the hill; I pawned my gear and dove into the car stuff 1000%.
Since 1996 I only went snowboarding 2-3 times and still wasn't intrigued enough to buy new stuff and jump back in, until this year. Woke up one morning, now 31 and realized I was a lazy ass that probably drank too much and needed to make a few life changes for the better. Ditched the booze, started eating better, exercising, etc and then a friend asked me if I wanted to do a snowboarding weekend. I said yeah, fuck it. That got the wheels turning, scoped out some used stuff but realized I wouldn't commit to the sport past that one weekend unless I bought new stuff, so I did. I landed here trying to look back into boards I had from the mid 90's to bring back memories, as well as check up on pro-riders from back then and see what they were up to now. Talk about nostalgia! Anyways, bought my stuff in early Feb 2012 and will be going out for the 3rd time tomorrow. I can still ride switch just as good as I could 16 years ago but I'll need more park-time to get use to airs, spins and grabs again (pulled a muscle in my arm on the first grab I did the first time out lol). I was also out of breath before I had even made 1 run but everything is improving at a good clip, glad to be back!

I'm from the SooHell no lol. I actually did go back for 03/04 and it sucked, everyone I knew had pretty much moved away, nothing to do, no good jobs. Much better down here..

Was part of the E-Team, turned BMB (James7, then Jimmy). Spent many a night in college procrastinating on the site. Burton changed the direction of their Kommunity and I lost track. When they resurrected their message board, someone said that this is where all the people went. Been lurking every now and again, but since graduating from grad school, I find myself with more time on my hands. So I wound up registering and here I am.
