My dad use to work quite a bit in Abu Dhabi building container cranes. He said his crews would start work well before dawn, then quit before noon and then finish their shift in the evening because it was just too hot during the middle of the day.

Summer is well and truly here
Last night it was 85% humidity with a 41.5C (106.7F) at around 10 pm (1st Picture) and today it was 65% humidity with 52C (125.6F) at 2 pm (2nd Picture).
Guess what I can still go to the skidubai and snowboard. :P

How are they in everybody elses neck of the woods?
They are so bad here. It's almost unbearable to go outside. I have to wear long sleeves at our farm and I just bought a mosquito netting for my head.
Ugg, I hate those little guys. -

Ugg, I hate those little guys.Not a lot of misquitoes around here, it's just too dry. There are more in the mountains, around the lakes though.
The worst I have seen is northern BC, they are the Provincial bird up there. The SE Oregon Klamath basin can get bad too. I think I posted a thread on the DBMB about getting bitten about 50 times when I changed an old ladies flat tire once. It was brutal, I could hardly sleep from all the itching.

hit 100 degrees today. deliveries were absolute murder...especially when one of them was a fridge that weighed 400 lbs.

Finally getting our first real heat wave this year. Supposed to hit mid 90's later this week and stay that way for a week or so. We have rarely had an average temp day in the last 2+ months here. I am not used to the heat and will probably die for heat stroke.
