Yeah this is crazy, I cannot remember a March like this in my whole life.
It feels like summer here. Its way too warm, people are in shorts and t-shirts. Apparently this warm spell is going to drop but its going to be way too late for all my local hills.

Meadows is reporting 10" in the last 12 hours already, then this:
This Afternoon: Snow. High near 30. Windy, with a west southwest wind around 38 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 21. Windy, with a west wind 34 to 37 mph decreasing to between 11 and 14 mph. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 11 to 17 inches possible.
Wednesday: Snow. High near 30. West wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 8 to 12 inches possible.
Wednesday Night: Snow. Low around 20. West southwest wind between 8 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 7 to 11 inches possible.
As I was riding the complain-train/waaambulance abOUT this last night, my better half reminded me that it was MY idea to visit family this time of the year, she thought May would have been a better time to go. Man did that ever come back to bite me in the butt.

it's fucking summertime in the northeast!!!
i have (had?) plans to head to vermont wknd of 3/31 and 4/15. HOPEFULLY killington will at least have a couple of slushy mogul trails still open. but not at this rate...

It's 83 degrees here right now at 6:30pm. I had on shorts and a tank top while I was out and about earlier. Supposed to be 85 tomorrow, gonna mow the yard for the second time.
The trees around here have bloomed in the last week, and they all look so much better than they have in the last couple of years.
Looks like it's going to dip back down to 70 after Friday and stay that way all of next week. I am loving this weather, I wish it would stay like this all summer, but I am sure it will get unbearably hot like it has the last few years.

I didn't mind the warm weather today since snowboarding is long over. Today was awesome since therw was none of the normal unbearable summer humidity. -

Our lifts close in a handfull of days, shame! Still, the idea of sun is always appealing. -

problem was, at least here at 'Wood, we had temps too close to freezing, so massive snow with layers of wet. It wasn't as epic as I had hoped.Tuesday-Thursday last week at Meadows was probably best conditions of the season. Snow levels stayed low, I think Ski-bowl was well below freezing.
I shouldn't be too down, still have 10 or so Fish/Charlie days to be very happy about. Plus the snow should be good all of April/May for me to get some good use out of my fusion pass.

there will probably be decent touring till june, but if you're committed and don't mind skinning for slush, you can pretty much go year round from what i can tell.mr-mouse said:
