oakwood-jones promodel '12! Agent 157, 255 waist, maybe a bit more sidecut but not too much and then we'll be talking.

So is the new sidecut thing they were talking about just 2 extra points of contact on the edge infront of your feet?

Pretty sure Rome is doing the regular line of Agents like they have had, including this year and a rocker version with the special "quick grip" sidecut. Long live the camber Agent. Recently got back on one and forgot how much I love that board. So fun all over the place.

Are there any Rome Catalog scans floating around for the 2011 season? I really want to see em.

    390 vs 390 Boss? What's the difference?

390's are great bindings, looks like they made some major upgrades for '11.

    Hey Guys,
Just a quick note on stuff. The Agent is still 100% in the line and has a normal radial side-cut on it. The Agent Rocker however has the new Reverse Mountain Pop Camber with the new grip side-cut. People are actually really stoked on the way it rides, even anti-reverse camber people have really been into.

The regular Agent’s not going anywhere. Especially after reading this thread. Last thing we want is an angry pitchfork wielding mob waiting for us in the parking lot after work.

Shoot any other questions in directly and I can help out. ron@romesnowboards.com

Ron, thanks for posting here. Care to shed some light on the 390 vs. 390 Boss?

Also, has any board replaced the Design?

I'm glad that other companies are catching on to adding some form of extra edge grip to their rocker boards.

Emailed Ron some questions. Quick response. Hope he posts here more often.

    Q: Explain the 390 vs. 390 Boss
A: With the 390’s the difference is the canting system. So the normal 390’s will not have the Yes I Cant system in them.

Q: Any boards replacing the Design?
A: Unfortunately no specific board replaced the Design. However, if you went softer, really the board that would fit the bill is the Mod. (it’s really all I personally ride now). True twin, tons of tech in it and a touch softer than the Design.

    Q: Will there be a Notch 1985?
A: No Notch 1985 next season. But the Pusher and the Postermania ride pretty similar really, true twins, and that same reverse camber feel to it.

    I love my Mod.
Spectacular combination of speed, stability, great edge hold, and pop for days. The more I ride it, the more it's all I want to ride.

    LONG LIVE CAMBER

anybody know what the MSRP on the 390 Bosses is going to be?

Fartman, what size Mod do you ride and what is your size? if you don't mind me asking. I demoed the Mod and loved it.

I would assume the 390 Boss would be somewhere between the Targa ($250) and 390 ($180). I'm guessing around $215ish.

     162, 6'2'' prolly bout 250 right now

to give you a little more insight I ride Southern VT mostly so not a lot of pow, tend to go pretty fast most of the time, popping off rollers, finding banks and walls to slash or just play on, have barely ridden any park this year. Grew up in FL surfing so a lot of people say I ride like a surfer.

Had it in the trees this year with about 8-10 inches of fresh this year in Steamboat dropping small ledges and whatnot. For a cambered board thought it performed quite admirably even with a centered stance.

I'm thinking of the 56 to replace my Indoor FK 56. I am bout 5'9" 190ish. Thanks for some feedback on it. I used to ride the Design and liked it but want something softer. Agent RC might be good too.

What rider was in mind when the Anthem SS was created? Seems like it's just an s-rocker style directional board. I would just spring for the Notch if thats what I wanted.

it is not S rocker. Full length camber with lifted tips when weighted.

I only ever spent a couple runs on the design and wasn't the biggest fan, but I'v always kind of chalked that up to the sheet of ice on the top half of the mountain that day.

It was stiff, too much for my current taste. But it floated amazingly well and could carve like no other. All this in a twin shape. I need to find a 55 or 58.

Thought the regular Anthem was directional? So the Anthem SS just floated better in pow?

I thought the regular Anthem was a directional board. I'm confused that the Anthem SS is a twin.

sorry, that is right...it is directional, I was still thinking about the shape thing from a notch issue. The notch 1985 is a pow board, but twin shape, super odd.

ok, makes sense now. Yeah the Notch 1985 is the shape of the Design, but reverse camber.
