If I went to the liquor store and couldn't find PBR I'd walk right back out the fucking door. My GROCERY store has PBR. And I'd certainly never reduce myself to buying any of the other American macrobrews. Either I get PBR, or I get a couple six-packs of a good local microbrew. ONLY TWO OPTIONS.

Sierra Nevada's got some good beers. I like their Pale Ale, mostly. California in general has a lot to offer by way of microbrews, but not as much as, say, Colorado or Oregon. It's a little hard to get much more than what you can find at a shady liquor when you are not 21.

Concert sucked, totally expected it. Drinking some Oskar Blues Pils right now, which is actually pretty drinkable.
Well, yes, but there is a huge and growing movement towards craft beers, such as what you see in Colorado, Oregon, Washington and California. I have a fridge full of IPA, and micro Pils right now, and some Corona for my wife, but my faves are stouts, browns, dark lagers and uh, okay, beer in general.

Oh...don't worry. There are LOTS of craft / micro beer afficionados here in the states too. I brewed a lot of my own back in college but haven't for many years now.
I grew up with Sierra Nevada's HQ in Chico, CA not too far away from me so I learned to like the fuller body / hoppier beers from a young age...
