I broke my ankle Thursday night at softball. Looks like I'll be getting a plate in it next week, then on crutches for 6 weeks and in a boot for a couple months after that. On the bright side, I'll be ready to rock again in time for snowboarding season.
*And fun story, a nurse / former coworker from my RA days who I've been on a couple dates with recently was working in the ER when I came in. As I'm getting wheeled back in a wheelchair I hear from across the hallway, "what are you doing here???" to which I (read: the adrenaline) replied with a big grin, "just dropped by to see you."

do planes normally fly a route where that photo is taken? sometimes we have some pretty crazy cloud formations that happen along the path where planes fly from anchorage to seattle.

New LBS finally opened today. Cool space, some interesting surf brands and chatted up the owners for a good while. They are carrying YES, Arbor, K2, Deeluxe NOW and Airblaster for sure. Stoked to have them so close by and some good dudes to shoot the shit with. Its somewhat of a weird spot but I really hope they succeed.
May have to pick up the Craig Great Boarders of History to support their cause.

There is an annual Anesthesia Conf. in Aspen, usually the 1st or 2nd week of February. It is on my radar for Feb. 2014. Far too long away, but something to look forward to.
