My niece called the other day asking for help on her 6th grade math homework. I was happy to help, but inquired why her mom didn't help her. She said "last time she helped me I got 6 out of 10 questions wrong!"
I didn't care for calculus, but I did enjoy algebra and other math through school. Are you good at math?
In high school I hated it in grade 10, loved grade 11 and 12 hated first year college and now am doing linear agebra and calculus for business and economics and really quite enjoy what we are doing with now.
had a mid term last night and their was 5 questions. people said it was hard but i found it easy. I hate when you are that one who found it easy, dont know what to expect as far as a mark.
Used to be a computer science major. Got tired of taking math classes. But I know more than most.

I prefer math with numbers as well. I'm not too much of a fan when in math I have to prove why angle a is congruent to angle c because of some outlandish reason. In real life I think I'd just measure it.

Fer reals. Kids math is stuff like 4286/16, 6 x t =24, and some word problems like: 6 yards is how many feet?
Mom is not the sharpest tool in the shed at many other things too.

I fucking hate math, I hated it so much during highschool and was so lucky I had an easy entrance exam into college or I wouldn't have a chance.

I'm a management/legal studies major. All I'm required to do is add to my salary, subtract from yours, divide your possessions, and multiply with your wife.

"business" is even more vague than "finance". You guys are right that lots of jobs in finance, even complex finance, don't require a very high level of math skills. However there are certain sectors in finance (i.e. the quant traders/modelers affectionately known as "quants") where people are qualified to be, already are or have been, math professors at top universities.
