My leg. Had an all day session two months ago and had 2 further hours today. Got the rest of the leg worked out so we can crack on with that.

^ That's awesome, but for some reason I could see that going very poorly with the wrong artist.
Another poor tattoo posted on my facebook by an eighteen year old who walked into the local shop and got a tattoo on his leg for $140, I wish I could post all the bad tattoos I have seen on my facebook (some are from my very close friends).

Craig walking up to your shoulder?
I <3 that painting.. would love to get a big reproduction from asymbol, but I'm having a hard time justifyin' sooo much money for a big picture. But if you look at the painting and get stoked on it every day for next 10,20,30 years? How much is that worth? That's how I justified my Jamie Lynn print.

If you guys haven't been watching it, I've really enjoyed the Gypsy Gentlemen. There's 4 episodes out now.

http://gypsygentleman.com/#/episode1Thanks! I have a lot of spare time right now so I'll give it a try. Hopefully I like it, there aren't a lot of good tattoo lifestyle shows out there.
@illocon, any motivation behind the foot tattoo?

Dan, me and my mate had a number of ideas how to piece the horseman together and none of them were quite there. I originally wanted it done in a Buena Vista Trash Polka way but it didn't flow properly and it didn't really work as a predominantly black, grey and red piece.
Then there were issues about perspective and how the leg would look when wrapped and as one complete scene. So after sketching that out a number of times it was decided that there would be too many clashes and it will result in very small details on my thigh which wouldn't serve much purpose.
So, my mate had an idea a while ago to look at the leg as if key phrases/chapters/lines from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving coming directly from the hand of the writer in a similar form to speech or dream bubbles.
And that works. It gives a continuous theme while acting as a sort of montage whereby the relationship of size and perspective between individual pieces doesn't matter.
I have a clear understanding of what will be in my head and I have complete trust in my mate.

Hahahaha gross,
Not sure if I would ever get a tattoo but if I did I had this idea of a pine tree running up my ribs. Probably not the best place for a first tattoo but I feel like it'd be sick. When I think of riding pow one of the first images I get is of the snow covered pines.

You could think of having the pine tree done on the outside of your calf. Unless you want to be able to hide it more easily, then yeah, ribs would be ok. But your calf is likely to change shape less over time than ribs/waist/midriff area.
Or maybe that's just me.
