Accepted a full time position with the three rivers park district today. I'll be grooming ski hills on the graveyard shift at HSSA this winter, and if things go my way, getting more in cat park building experience. winter can't come soon enough!

Bullys. Probably'll run a 100 for the majority of the time, but they're getting a new 400 this season so i'm hoping to get a few hours in that beast.Once you run the 400, you won't want to go back. We got one last year and demoed a 400 Park. Wish we had an entire fleet of them, they're amazing machines

Wild is "open" with snow on the front two bunny hills and a few park features scattered around. First open area in the nation, they claim. I'm hoping the temps drop and they can freshen up the snow. Got 6 of the next 7 days off and I would like to slide on some snow.

Snowmaking has officially begun at hyland. just put in a 14 hour shift and the guns were kicking out some pretty good snow overnight. We're shooting for the day after thnxgvng for opening day.

So just as a public announcement sundown mountain in dubuque Iowa sucks. I spent three hours trying to order my pass from their websight last night, made a minimum of 15 calls to them (not a single one answered), talked to them on facebook, and sent them an email. So today the price of the pass goes up and I FINALLY got someone to answer the phone and she says "well other people ordered online and we were really busy" I tell her valid point but look at the dates on facebook and check your email and I have phone logs of the calls I made. So she rudely answers me and says here I am transferring you to another person. I get an answering machine. So I call her back and guess what were back to no one answering the phone. This place has the worst business practices of any company I have ever dealt with. All in all it looks like they are going to try to charge me for something that is their mistake. Fat chance!

The metro area's doing good. We've had a great streak of snowmaking weather & everyone's damn near 100% open. If not fully open. Went to Spirit the day after X-Mas & they still had runs closed. But I'd bet they're open by now.

I work at hyland. I usually ride there or elm creek in maple grove, on any given day of the week, except right now I haven't been out since i banged up my kidney on new years eve. but it's looking like the cold snap is going to break, I think tomorrow is the day to get back on the horse.

I had one guy I know who I really didn't want to ride with, but he turned out to be the only guy ready, willing and able to go. He wanted to go to Welch, and it wasn't awful, but just a bunch of sticky rails and no jumps in the park. Groomers were fast and fun though. I've always wanted to go to Hyland; maybe next year if I visit during the holidaze.

Speaking of Welch, the wife and I just took advantage of their crazy pass sale going on right now. Next season and the season after for $299. And it also includes the rest of this season. Go 6 times in 2+ seasons to break even? I think I can handle that.
Sale runs 'til March 31st I believe.

Everything southern midwest just got flooded, but it looks like Mt Bohemia is doing well and should have more than a foot of fresh for the weekend. 95% sure I'm going to drive up there tomorrow and ride Saturday and part of Sunday. One man wolfpack as of right now... if anyone wants to ride.
