Adidas is trying to get into the snow game, making a big push. They gave Kazu a giant pile of money that Burton couldn't give. He wasn't cut, he left. Yes he's trying other brands out for Boards and Bindings.
Alex Andrews is no longer on the Burton Team but is now working for Burton.

What am I missing here, though? Doesn't Nico ride for Nike, (Probably due to a giant pile of money as well.) but still ride burton boards and bindings?
I guess it doesn't matter. No one really knows what went down but He and B.
Bottom line is, he doesn't ride for Burton anymore.

Are they going in with the brand name this time? If I'm not mistaken this won't be the first time in snowboarding for Adidas. In 1997 Adidas bought the Salomon Group, and owned it until 2005, so they were paying Daniel Frank and Mike Michalchuk. For instance.

By the way, Isn't this Adidas' second time around in the snowboard game? I remember the owner at Sanction saying that Adidas made boots one year but they were horrible, and that they were going for a second try in the near future.
Yes, Adidas owned Salomon for a bit, I don't think they were really running things, just providing monies, maybe some shoe tech trickled into the boots, but Salomon boots were never Adidas boots.
And yes, they made a run of Adidas forums as boots one year as a limited thing. I think this time they're going for hightech/performance, hence signing Blauvelt as their forerunner.
