I'm sure Mcbain is just as stoked as I am that the Lakers got Nash. If they can somehow get Howard, that'll be an extremely scary team.

Last 4th of July is up there in terms of greatest Lakers moments. Still waiting for the District haterade.
Overall this has been one of the most exciting NBA off seasons. So many changes.
The real loser this week...Mark Cuban. First he loses out on Deron Williams, then Steve Nash, then Jason Kidd! Dirk Nowitzki is probably going to ask to be traded.

If Kris Humphries agrees to a one year deal with the Cavaliers and helps the Nets land Dwight Howard, that combined with the Kim Kardashian fiasco, would easily qualify him as one of the dumbest players ever in the NBA.
The Lakers can eat a luekwarm bowl of dicks.
That said, getting Nash was the best upgrade they could have gotten this year. It gives them 4 legitimate passing threats from their starting five, and someone to run the offense when everyone, inevitably, stops listening to Mike Brown.
The new NBA model for success
1. Sign 2-3 allstar, caliber players to max contracts
2. Draft a couple of rookies who can contribute while still under rookie contracts
3. Fill the rest of the roster with ring chasers who sign for veterans minimum

QFT, though not a big fan of this recipe. Just goes to show how all star-centric the league has become, which is the reason why I've lost a lot of interest in the NBA over the past few seasons.

Realistically, this is the best scenario IMO. The Howard to Nets trade scenario is way, way too complicated, but you never know in the NBA.
