I'm hitting the big Three-Zero birthday in a few weeks and my wife asked for some gift ideas. The only things that sound fun to me are: a bb gun, zombie survival guide, rope swing and a slingshot.
I don't feel nearly 30 years old. How did this happen?
p.s. any other good gift ideas for an "adult" like me?

True. I'm still young enough to have massive student loan debt, so rad trips are out of the questions, unless sugar daddy Dillon kicks in again.
I still feel 22 and will till the day I die. For my 30th I had a bbq bday party and rented a bounce house...you're only as old as you feel.
An airsoft is cooler than a bb gun.
If you're looking at a zombie survival guide, also look at the multi use shovel/axe/knife survival thingy I saw on doomsday preppers-Google it, it was pretty bad ass!
30 is a great age to be, actually.
I'd say that 27-37 is not bad at all, you have that mix of being physically able and having acquired (hopefully) some wisdom.
I still have that Peter Pan syndrome, the whole world's still OUT there for me to explore.

The hubby is turning 29 on Wednesday. We both called in to work all weekend to start our celebration, haha. I had planned to pay for him to get a new tattoo, which is also how he acquired his first tattoo two years ago. However, he found out that Weezer is playing in Chicago next month, and he LOVES Weezer, so instead he asked me to buy us tickets to that, so I did. I'm going to make sure it isn't long before he gets that new tattoo as well though ;)
Wow, I'm amazed at how many "older" people are on this forum. I was thinking most people here were in their early 20s. I just turned 29 and think of that age as being ancient, time flys!!

No way! I thought you were 24 max. I guess all this shreding keeps everyone young.
i turned 34 last week. i listen/watch/sing these every year. but i do gotta say that life seems to keep getting better.

35 was foreshadowing of bad things to come, and at 37, while taking better care of myself than at any time in my life, things (my body) have decidedly started going to shit. I'm just thankful that I haven't been reduced to arguing necktie knots and pocket squares (tha fuck is a pocket square?) in the post a pic thread.
