The new digs are on the northside of Madison. Off the isthmus and near the Mallards' field.
The Tacoma is alrightish. On account of the roommate any vehicle will be an automatic. I'm sure reproduction will happen one day, but not too soon.
Srsly man, fuck a honda. Shitty ass seats.
Still leaning Pathfinder/Frontier/89 Caddy.
Nice! Easy walk/stumble to minor league games and teh fireworks.
Good luck on the car search!

i say find a pathfinder.
you call jeeps gay, then say to get a pathfinder? those have some of the most garbage interior/features I have seen.
I'm not standing up for the older jeeps, or the wranglers (cringe)... but a lot of the newer models are completely different, and are high quality and have smooth non-econobox feeling rides (unlike some of the jap crap stated earlier)... partly thanks to mercedes owning jeep for a while.
yeah maybe so but he didn't list range rover as an option

Chrysler bought Jeep in 87, Mercedes bought chrysler later on, chrysler ran the show until recently when they put Fiat in charge of Jeep, fiat is owned by chrysler, which is still owned by mercedes ...Fiat running the show makes the next gen of Jeeps even worse than the past 30 years since AMC ran Jeep.
Anyone have experience with F150s in this bitch? Is this just getting absurd.
Also, the more I look at the Tacoma vs. The Nissan it gets a lot tougher. Even with the premium price of the Tacoma.
Lastly, Bedliners? WTF? are they good/bad? How do you get one of those assholes installed and what do they cost?
In all the trucks my family has owned....from personal trucks to work trucks, my dad would forego a bed liner and instead get the bed painted with Zolatone. Probably not nearly the level of protection you'd get from a bed liner but I think it looks way cooler than a jinky plastic cover and it's actually a lot more scratch resistant than you'd guess.

f150's are solid trucks.i have many friends with companies that use them as fleet trucks. the spray bed liners are great, virtually indestructable. around here its about 250.00 to get it done but its competitve/common here as 75% of people drive trucks (it seems). line-x is the nike of bedliners.
They're also fade resistant and completely indestructible.
Was going to to mention a full size truck.
Tacomas are cool looking, but perhaps not worth what they sell for. An F150 is going to give you moar room, moar hauling, and surprisingly similar MPG to the big V6 in the Tacoma.
Yeah but the depreciation on the ford bumps the cost of ownership when it's time to sell

I have a 2004 F-150 with the v8 fx4, I've owned it for 5 years and the only thing to go wrong was the air conditioner/heater, a relativley easy fix.
a lot of my family/friends have f-150s and no complaints from anyone. Dependable trucks that will last years, as long as you upkeep maintence of course.
EDIT: on the above comment, you aren't going to sell your f-150 is the point. Mine's paid off and although gas is rough with the triton I have 110k miles on it and this truck will be running way past 200k as long as I'm doing regular oil/filter change and whatnot.
Word, if you never sell it, resale value tain't no matter.
But you'll probably sell it, and nobody has accused tacos of crapping out at 100 or 200k either
This "not selling it for a decade" is kinda what I'm looking for
Tacos will last just as long, Toyota is very dependable, but F-150s have a much bigger market and could easily be more affordable than a taco.
what doesn't depreciate? the difference in the depreciation after 5 or whatever years must be marginal and irrelevant in almost every case.
Agree but tacos are in rare air in that respect.it's absurd but it's the truth
new model crew cab f-150 = so much fucking room...
+1 on line-x
owned a king ranch 2006 and a lariat 2012 both crew cab f150's amazing trucks. interior is second to none, and they do everything you can ask. the step on the tailgate of the 2012 is pretty sweet i must say also.
Drove the FJ and the Tacoma recently. Both felt really great. I think once the roommate drives the FJ the blindspot is going to put that one out of the running again.
Can someone tell me why a 2000 Landcruiser with 80,000 miles is a bad deal?
Damn. That vehicle is so rad.
drjcv said: cuz its a 2000 landcruiser with 80K miles
Truth.
I will give the counterpoint that, if it was maintained properly, that engine is really simple built to last. It's all the other stuff you gotta worry about, suspension, electronics, interior wear and tear etc.....If you get a good deal on it, it's not the worst purchase in the world if you think you'd still be on the winning end after taking into account any repairs. (captain obvious)
