Oh shit, not you too.dr-dre said: Anyone into rock climbing (other than contra)? I joined a bouldering gym 2 weeks ago and have been climbing every other day. I really dig the crew that hangs there and its super fun to put my gains to use. Though it is demoralizing when 110lb girls can climb lines i can't because they've got insane core/grip strength.

slc's university of utah houses a lot of international students so my 24 hour is always a melting pot. i'm always entertained by the foreigners working out in designer jeans, popped polos and "fly" supra sneaks. working out is clearly a fashion show. fucking stupid.

After mourning the weekend in bed and doing shit all, I am joining a friend for a 1.5h conditioning/weights/whatever class tonight. This better be the long awaited return to working out regularly again. Been way too long.

really digging the starting strength exercises and have been progressing well on all the lifts with exception of bench which i stalled a bit. but hopefully next workout i will kill the press

Absolutely taking a week off from all forms of "working out". Feeling worn down and borderline overtrained right now. Now is the time to be smart. Plan is to keep the calories up at 5,000, sleep 9 hours every night, do as little actual work as possible (while still working 70 hours a week), and come back fresh next Monday.

Same route with same friend. She had to walk a bit in between so we probably took longer than yesterday, but same distance :)
Definitely can feel it in my legs. Love the feeling though!
Am however feeling the knee a bit :( Might take tomorrow off and run again Thurs & Friday. -

Better to take one day off to be safe than to take weeks off due to injury.

unless you're a 285lb lineman you'll stall on bench and ohp. deload while still upping your other lifts and if you still stall look into getting some 1.25lb microplates

Never hit a ceiling on bench when I was seriously lifting. Pretty sure I could bench more than I could squat. Ripped man-boobs in football.

how much should i deload by? never was quite sure of the deloading concept other than taking off weights when one stalled.

Been wondering the same. I have left shoulder issues from a car crash in my youth and I'm having a hard time getting heavier with my OHP. I was told to just keep lifting a weight that will allow correct form and I'll eventually be able to up the weight again.

Hahaha the sound of their sagging arms flapping in the wind will really motivate me to push myself. I can't believe this guy is actually able to market this. People must really just be so stupid or desperate that they'll try anything. There's literally nothing special going on there.
